Services for under 25s

We help young people to set up and manage their first tenancy and if things become difficult we provide support to stop them losing their homes.

We work with vulnerable young people who may be struggling to manage, perhaps because they have previously lived in care, are new parents or they may have other support needs such as a physical disability, depression or have a drug or alcohol problem.

Whatever the reason, we do not judge or preach. We provide practical support which helps young people get on their feet and stay on their feet.

This can include help with:

  • Setting up home
  • Understanding their responsibilities as a tenant
  • Developing life skills
  • Managing their behaviour
  • Signposting to advice and advocate services
  • Help with finances and benefit claims
  • Getting involved with activities and social events
  • Making sure vulnerable young people are safe and secure

What we will do

When we receive a request to provide a young person with support, we will ask for a referral form to be filled in. Once we get this form, we will make an appointment to visit the young person. We will arrange to carry out a full assessment of their needs, we will then decide whether our service is the right one for them.

If we are able to support the young person concerned, we will work with them to agree the support we will provide, setting out where help is needed and what we hope to achieve together. We may need to talk to other organisations who can provide different kinds of support, if this is needed.
