What does a Scheme Manager do?
Our scheme staff will support and encourage you in living independently and will do this by
- Compiling and agreeing with you a personal support plan
- Agreeing and maintaining daily contact with you
- Assisting in developing a range of activities for you and other older people either at a community room such as coffee mornings, art classes etc. or at a local social club
- Assisting in helping you maintain your independence by involving other agencies such as Adult Social Care and Health
- Helping on a temporary basis as a one off in cases of short term sickness or emergency when relatives or friends are not immediately available
- Helping in an emergency by summoning relatives, calling a doctor or any other professional help which may be required
- Collecting prescriptions in an emergency if there is no-one else to get it, do any urgent shopping, prepare a drink or a snack and generally make you comfortable
- Keeping on file the names and telephone numbers of your nearest relatives or friends and of our doctor so that they can act quickly in case of an emergency
