Everybody needs good neighbours

As the adverse weather conditions continue to cause problems throughout St Helens, local people are being encouraged to check on relatives and neighbours to ensure that they are not without food or other provisions.

St Helens Council's Adult Health and Social Care Department is currently working to contact around 6000 people identified as being 'at risk' to ensure that they are not without food, medication or warmth, however there are many more people living within the borough who are not known to the Council and may be having difficulties.

Please take the time to check on elderly or vulnerable neighbours and if you have any concerns about their welfare please contact St Helens Council's Adults and Children Team on 01744 456600 between the hours of 9am and 5pm. The Emergency Duty team will also be available to deal with emergencies outside these hours and can be contacted on 0345 0500 148 or 0845 0500 148.
